POLLIWOG PAGES

Jump Into Writing

~ This is where we play with words. ~

to display their progress as they learn to express their thoughts.

to share their poetry and stories.

I ask that the students try to self-edit their own work as best they can,

but they can use a dictionary or ask someone how to spell a word.

It helps to show how they are improving through the years.

I'll accept almost any kind of writing - essays, poems, stories, etc.

I'd even post students' original videos and comics, because they are a type of writing too.

I only ask that the writings not include offensive language, witchcraft, or gory violence.

Creative Writing (ages 5-18)

Grammar Lessons (ages 10-18)

Poetry Lessons (ages 13-18)

Explore and learn by downloading some writing lessons. You may either use them independently or access my personal program, where I will guide each student through a set of lessons for one year. I will encourage your strengths and build up your weaker places.

These lessons are designed to allow various ages to work side by side at their own level.

By the time you hop through these lessons, your writing will be BRIGHTER and SLEEKER, and hopefully, you'll have fun along the way.

TESTIMONIALS

Polliwog Pages was a great creative outlet for me when I was younger. It allowed me to post my stories where other people could see them. When other people saw my stories, and commented on them, it gave me motivation to keep writing more. I’ve really enjoyed making stories, and I’m thankful for the opportunity Polliwog Pages gave me.

(Elias D. - first Polliwog Kid)

Mrs. Blake is an enthusiastic teacher and mentor. She is able to push her students to improve while still valuing the unwieldy works that mark the path to excellence. Because of this, she can extract the gifts of every student. I would recommend her guidance to anyone who wants to learn the joy and skill of writing.

(Zachoia C. - former student and published poet)
